Germany cruised to a 7-0 UEFA Nations League victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina in Freiburg on Saturday night.

Jamal Musiala, who scored Germany's first goal, enjoyed himself on the pitch.

"That was fun," said Musiala in a post-match interview.

"We did what we wanted to do. We were able to play freely but still worked hard defensively," he added.

The Bayern Munich youngster opened the scoring after just two minutes.

It was the fourth header of the season for the 21-year-old, who is delighted with an area of his game that seems to be flourishing.

"I'm proud of the header, I'm happy with the goal," he said.

Germany won 7-0 thanks to two Tim Kleindienst goals alongside two more from Florian Wirtz and several goals from other players including Kai Havertz, Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sané.

Manager Julian Nagelsmann recorded his biggest win as Germany coach and on this matter he noted the “very good gegenpressing” after the game.

When prompted to speak on it being one of Germany's best games ever by pundit Lothar Matthäus, the Germany coach said “it was a very good game”.

Despite this, he withdrew from any absolutes surrounding it being the best in history.

The game is the highest ever victory in the UEFA Nations League since its inception in the 2018-19 season.

Lastly, Tim Kleindienst also spoke to RTL following the game and he said: “After trying (for the two previous games) to score, it turned out to be easy in the end. It excited me that it worked today and it was obviously a dream.”

He added: “Obviously, a huge amount went to plan today and we had a lot of chances in the first half and could've even scored more.”
