According to renowned Italian outlet Tuttosport, Bayern Munich are eager to reinforce their youth ranks and subsequently their midfield with 19-year-old Cameroon-born talent Lucien Agoume.

The defensive midfield prodigy has spent his season so far on loan at Spezia and made just 12 appearances in the process – something that has not deterred the Bavarian giants from signing him, according to the reports.

Bayern are said to be interested in strengthening their central midfield position with a host of high profile names such as Javi Martinez, David Alaba and Jerome Boateng leaving at the end of the Bundesliga season.

He will come relatively cheap – around the region of €5-10m.

Although he is from Cameroon, Agoume possesses a dual French nationality and has chosen to represent Les Bleus, where he captained the French U17 national team in the FIFA U17 World Cup.

Recently, his agent, Domenico Cecere, speaking to Okcalciomercato.it, commented:

“His contract expires in June 2022 and we haven’t met with Inter yet, but there shouldn’t be any problems for the renewal. Agoume is destined to play for a big club He chose Inter two years ago and still wants to continue his development process.”

Olympique de Marseille are also said to be keeping a close eye on him to lure him to Ligue 1.

It remains to be seen if the Nerazzurri will let him leave.

He has been compared for the same future success as international counterpart Paul Pogba, who functions in the same position as Agoume.
