Ortega to Bayern links intensify

Stefan Ortega could be edging closer to a move to Bayern München.
Bayern München are reportedly stepping up their search for a new second-choice goalkeeper.

According to Kicker, the German champions have long ago made contact with Stefan Ortega, who is under contract with Arminia Bielefeld until next year.

Per the report, Bielefeld have set a price tag of €5 million for the 28-year-old goalkeeper, who has also been linked with clubs from England and Spain.

Should Ortega make the switch to Allianz Arena, Bayern's current number two, Alexander Nübel, will likely be allowed to head out on loan.

The 24-year-old has expressed desire to play more and has been touted for a move to France.
