Report: Arsenal eye Bundesliga forward to bolster attacking options

Premier League side Arsenal are said to be in talks with Eintracht Frankfurt over a possible deal for their Portuguese marskman Andre Silva.
The report comes from the British publication The Metro, who says that Arsenal are interested in bringing the Portuguese forward to the Emirates as a replacement for French striker Alexandre Lacazette.

The report claims that Arsenal have already begun work on the deal to bring the Portugal international to the Emirates Stadium but have told the striker that they need to sell before his signing can be completed.

Eintracht Frankfurt are said to be holding out for a €40m transfer fee for Silva but it’s expected that the Bundesliga club will be forced to accept a lower figure. It’s understood that RB Leipzig are also interested in signing Silva but the striker’s preference is to move to a Premier League club.

Silva impressed for Eintracht Frankfurt this season as he finished second in the Bundesliga scoring table behind Robert Lewandowski. The Portugal international netted 28 times for his club and this form earned him a call up to the Portugal EURO 2020 setup, where he has made 2 substitute appearances for the defending champions.
