Real Madrid reportedly keeping tabs on Leipzig star at EURO 2020

Real Madrid are undergoing a period of upheaval after the departure of senior club figures in Zidane and Sergio Ramos. Now, they seem to be on the hunt to track down a spirited Spanish youngster who has been making waves recently.
RB Leipzig’s 23-year-old talent Dani Olmo is being monitored by Real Madrid scouts in EURO 2020, which has seen Spain play all of their matches so far in Sevilla, Spain – according to reports from Sport BILD.

According to another outlet Cadena SER, it seems like Madrid are short of funds after having considered Kylian Mbappe as their primary transfer target.

The versatile attacker will not come for anything less than €50m. Most recent reports from The Athletic (via Bulinews) suggests a whopping €75m asking price for Olmo.

He moved to Leipzig from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2020 on a four year deal and still has three more years left on his contract, which expires in June 2024.

So far in the continental tournament, Olmo has appeared twice in three matches for Spain, missing the team’s final group matchday thumping of Slovakia 5-0.

Spain face Croatia next in the Round of 16.
