Eintracht Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krösche has commented on speculation over Martin Hinteregger's future at the club.

In an interview with Austrian newspaper Krone, Hinteregger recently revealed that his agent had informed him of inquiries from other clubs.

Krösche, however, insists Frankfurt haven't been approached directly about the 28-year-old centre-back.

"'Hinti' is a great player, who is extremely important for us. So far, nothing has been brought to our attention, neither from the player's side nor from other clubs," Krösche told Bild.

Hinteregger still has three years left on his contract with Frankfurt.
