Stindl sustains knee injury

Lars Stindl has suffered a knee ligament strain.
Borussia Mönchengladbach captain Lars Stindl has picked up an injury ahead of the new season.

The 32-year-old will miss the remainder of Gladbach's training camp, including Saturday's friendly against Metz, due to a knee ligament strain.

Fortunately for Gladbach, Stindl is expected back soon and should be able to return to normal training during next week.

Stindl scored 17 goals and made 15 assists in 42 games for 'Die Fohlen' last season.
