Hinteregger rues missed chances after draw with Stuttgart

Eintracht Frankfurt deserved more than a draw against Stuttgart, according to Martin Hinteregger.

Martin Hinteregger felt Eintracht Frankfurt were unlucky not to win today's Bundesliga clash against VfB Stuttgart at Deutsche Park Bank.

Frankfurt were leading 1-0 and playing 11 versus 10 when Omar Marmoush salvaged a late 1-1 draw for the guests with a goal in the 88th minute.

"A lot of Stuttgart players must be wondering how that game ended with a 1-1 draw," Hinteregger told DAZN.

"The coach gave us a plan and we implemented it outstandingly, they actually didn't stand a chance.

"We wanted to play aggressively and a lot through the wings, because they're not so good there.

"We did well in a lot of situations. When you hit the crossbar twice, it's just not meant to be."
