Since scoring the goal that kick-started Heidenheim's sensational comeback win over FC Bayern München on match-day 28, German midfielder Kevin Sessa has become a regular fixture in FCH trainer Frank Schmidt's starting XI. Sitting on a contract that expires at the end of the current season, it's possible that Sessa's current club hadn't invested much time in trying to get the 23-year-old to renew his deal.
Prior to his relief appearance against Bayern - during which the Fellbach native scored his first Bundesliga goal - Sessa had made just one league start for the newly promoted side this year. The former VfB Stuttgart academy man has scored seven goals for Heidenheim in the second division. Sky Germany's Dennis Bayer reports that FC Copenhagen and Italian second division side Parma Calcio are interested in snapping Sessa up on a free.
