TSG Hoffenheim striker forward Fisnik Asllani has made his breakthrough in the Bundesliga this season, and his impressive performances have drawn interest from major clubs such as Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
Speaking to RTL/ntv and sport.de, the 23-year-old addressed the reports surrounding his future:
"Of course you notice things like that. It’s an honour for me, of course, and it also makes me a bit proud when I read things like that," Asllani said.
Asllani’s contract with Hoffenheim runs until 2029 and reportedly includes a release clause that makes it possible for him to leave next summer for a fee between €25 and €29 million.
The striker admits he has been thinking about what the future might hold.
"I naturally talk about the next few years with my family and very close friends. I’m not 18 anymore, so you do start planning your career and your life to some extent. Where can it go? What do you want? You get to know yourself as a person and learn about yourself – what’s important to you, where you set your priorities," said Asllani.
For now, though, the Kosovo international insists his full attention remains on Hoffenheim.
"My focus is clearly on TSG Hoffenheim, on the upcoming matches, the coming weeks and months," Asllani emphasised.
"That’s the most important thing for me."
"What comes in the end, we’ll see. Everything in its own time," he added.
