Bayern bosses sing Olise's praises

Bayern Munich bosses Vincent Kompany and Christoph Freund spoke highly of Michael Olise at a press conference on Friday.

Michael Olise has hit the ground running since joining Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace in the summer, scoring three goals and providing an assist in his first five games for the club.

Olise was playing for France at the Olympics and wasn't able to spend pre-season with his new club, but seems to have adapted quickly to his new surroundings following his arrival.

“I don't think it's a bad thing that he played at the Olympics. He came back very fit. He's playing a good role already now and has many more good steps to go. He should carry on this way,” said Kompany.

Freund added:

“He played very well at the Olympics. Of course, a lot is new for him, there's a lot happening around him right now, also with the national team. We're very happy that Michael's started the way he has.”

After starting and bagging a brace against Dinamo Zagreb in Bayern's 9-2 win earlier this week, the winger could be in the starting lineup once more when the Bavarians face Werder Bremen on Saturday.
