DFB-Pokal second round fixtures released

The draw for the second round of the 2024/25 DFB-Pokal took place on Sunday. There will be four match-ups between two top division sides on the next round of fixtures, scheduled to take place on October 29th and 30th.

The draw for the second round of the 2024/25 DFB-Pokal took place on Sunday. Four fixtures (highlighted in bold below) will feature two top division sides. Interestingly, defending cup champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen have draw SV Elversberg; the very same club that eliminated Gerardo Seoane's Werkself in the opening round of the 2022/23 competition. 

The full draw - with hosting clubs listed on the left - follows below. League tiers of the participants are parenthesized. Exact dates and kickoff times will determined at a later time. Eight of the 16 fixtures will take place on Tuesday, October 29th while the remaining eight fixtures kickoff on the following day.
