Bayern Munich's Max Eberl has confirmed that contract talks with Konrad Laimer are on hold due to the player's high demands.

“We would like to extend Konny's contract. Talks have taken place, but things are currently on hold," Eberl said at today's press conference.

"But that's not a problem, there's no resentment or ill will. We have our own ideas, and they have their own ideas, and those ideas have to align.

“Right now they don't, but that's okay. We're extremely happy that he's back, that he's healthy again, and that he's now available,” he added.

Bayern's director of sport is clearly quite calm and composed regarding the situation – an extension is expected to arrive eventually.

Laimer has been a key part of Vincent Kompany's side so far, with 3 goals and 4 assists in 20 Bundesliga games this campaign.
