Bayern Munich's director of sport Max Eberl expressed his joy over nine different academy players making their senior debut this season.

“To quote Vincent Kompany, we don’t want to create 'one-hit wonders', but rather build sustainable careers," Eberl told TZ München.

"With Lennart Karl, we have an absolute breakthrough player, and we have several others who have made their debuts.

"But that was just the first step; the boys have to keep working. Our coaching staff emphasizes that to them every day.

“But the boys [from the Bayern youth campus] have to be willing to accept it,” he added, underlining the need for their commitment.

Filip Pavic, Erblin Osmani (both 16), Wisdom Mike, Cassiano Kiala, Maycon Cardozo (all 17), Lennart Karl, Felipe Chávez, Deniz Ofli (all 18) and David Santos Daiber (19) make up the list.

Bayern have clearly made it a key priority to integrate youth talents into their squads this season as opposed to previous campaigns.
