For a long time, Eintracht Frankfurt looked set to sign Brighton & Hove Albion's Pascal Gross.

However, Borussia Dortmund have swooped in and  are now expected to win the race for the German international.

In light of this, Eintracht have been forced to implement a plan B, with both Bild and Sky Germany reporting that Valencia's Pepelu is being considered as an alternative.

Sky even goes so far as to report that there have already been initial talks between the 25-year-old defensive midfielder and Eintracht.

However, Bild reports that Die Adler have not completely given up on signing Gross ahead of Dortmund.
