After missing Bayer Leverkusen's last two games due to a muscle injury, Nathan Tella is expected to return to the German champions' squad for Tuesday's DFB-Pokal semi-final against Arminia Bielefeld.
Bayer 04 coach Xabi Alonso announced at a press conference on Monday that Tella is now doing “much better”, but pointed out that the final training session ahead of the match was still to come.
“But if there are no problems, he will be in the squad," said Xabi Alonso.
Meanwhile, the game comes too soon for both Edmond Tapsoba (thigh) and Florian Wirtz (ankle).
Tapsoba could possibly be back this weekend against Heidenheim, while there is hope that Wirtz could return to the squad for the game against Union Berlin on April 12.
