Bayer Leverkusen were sensationally knocked out of the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday, losing 2-1 to third-tier side Arminia Bielefeld in the semi-final.

In a post-match interview, Bayer 04 midfielder Robert Andrich didn't mince his words when it came to criticising his side's performance.

"That was by far our worst game of the season. And also the most important one," said Andrich.

"Bielefeld deserved the win tonight, which means we did plenty of things wrong.

“We screwed up today. That has to be said quite clearly."

Leverkusen's only chance of silverware this season now lies in the Bundesliga, where the reigning champions are six points behind Bayern Munich.
