Sat in the relegation play-off spot, FC Heidenheim boss Frank Schmidt is under no illusions of their precarious position as they prepare to face Union Berlin this Saturday.

"Relegation is still possible in both scenarios. Everything is going on as normal. We're not making the tension too high.

“But we are also not saying we're in the relegation zone and it will all work out somehow. We've been working with concentration,” he explained.

Schmidt turned his attention to their opponents Union Berlin, who he feels are hard to play and pose significant threat from set-pieces.

"Steffen Baumgart has led the team to a point where they've gained stability and are now unbeaten in eight Bundesliga matches.

“The fact that they're obviously also unpleasant to play against has been clearly evident in the last two home games,” Schmid added.

After confirming both Luka Janes and Chris Negle couldn't train, Schmid gave an update on Kevin Müller who sustained concussion last weekend.

"He's feeling significantly better. He was able to leave the hospital at the beginning of the week, and it's clear that a concussion like this takes a few days.

“That means, logically, he won't be playing at Union Berlin right now. I can reveal this much: Frank Feller will play," he said.
