Bayern Munich goalkeeper Jonas Urbig has picked up an injury.

The German Football Association confirmed on Wednesday that the young goalkeeper has been forced to withdraw from the German Under-21 squad due to a foot injury he picked up in training.

Urbig, who has started Bayern's last three games while Manuel Neuer has been out injured, has travelled back to Munich for treatment.

Felix Gebhardt, who plays for 2. Bundesliga side SSV Jahn Regensburg, has been called up as his replacement.

Fortunately for Bayern, the injury doesn't appear to be serious, with Sport Bild reporting that Urbig should be able to resume training within a week.

Neuer, meanwhile, is making progress in his recovery from injury and will be back in goal against St. Pauli after the international break if all goes to plan.
