Manuel Neuer is expected to remain unavailable for Bayern Munich's Champions League quarter-final return leg against Inter.

The 39-year-old goalkeeper has been out for the last seven games due to a calf injury, and it is anticipated that he will not be fit in time for Bayern's crucial second-leg clash against Inter on Wednesday.

After Bayern's 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, board member for sport Max Eberl was asked about the possibility of Neuer returning for the match.

“There's always hope, but I don't think so,” he said, according to AZ.

Jonas Urbig will continue in goal for Bayern while Neuer is sidelined. The Bavarians head into Wednesday's game with a one-goal deficit, having lost the first leg 1-2 at home.
