It's been a busy day on the transfer front for Borussia Mönchengladbach, with Shio Fukuda officially leaving to join Karlsruhe SC.

The 22-year-old striker, who already played on loan in the second division last season, scored six goals in 20 appearances.

Karlsruhe will reportedly pay Gladbach around €700,000, with the club also said to have secured a sell-on clause and a matching right.

Meanwhile, fellow marksman Jan Urbich has extended his contract with the Foals until the summer of 2029.

The 21-year-old center forward will the be loaned to 2. Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig for the upcoming campaign.

Urbich made his Bundesliga debut last season, but primarily played for Gladbach's U-23 team in the Regionalliga where he bagged 14 goals.

“Jan is a complete number nine," explained Braunschweig's manager Benjamin Kessel after the loan deal was confirmed.

"He brings presence in the box, depth, determination, and general activity when playing with the ball.

"At the same time, he possesses the physicality and dynamism that we wanted for our attack. We are looking forward to his goal threat.”
