The German U-21 national team faces a crucial match today in Athens, but Brajan Gruda will not be present to face Greece.
RB Leipzig's Gruda is not in matchday squad due to muscular problems, the Bundesliga club reported this afternoon.
Although the extent of the injury is still unknown, it comes as a blow to both the German U-21 team and Leipzig.
In his last game before the international break, Gruda scored twice and provided an assist in a 5-0 win over TSG Hoffenheim.
The midfielder is currently on loan from English Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion, but Leipzig are considering signing him permanently.
