Bayern Munich star Harry Kane was named the winner of the 2026 Men’s Ballon d’Or at a ceremony in London on Monday night.
The 33-year-old England captain beat the likes of FC Barcelona's Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappé to the prestigious prize, awarded to the world's best player.
Kane enjoyed a sensational 2025/26 campaign, scoring 61 goals in 51 games for FC Bayern and helping the club secure the domestic double.
He becomes the first Bayern Munich player to win the Ballon d'Or since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who claimed the award in 1981.
Kane is also the first Englishman to win the prestigious accolade since Michael Owen in 2001.
