Jean-Mattéo Bahoya has rejected a move to Hull City, bringing an end to the Premier League newcomers' pursuit of the Eintracht Frankfurt winger.
According to multiple reports, Bahoya has decided against making the switch to England. Contrary to previous reports, there was also no agreement between Eintracht Frankfurt and Hull City, not even a verbal one.
Hull had emerged as the most concrete option for the 21-year-old in the final days of the transfer window and had reportedly been preparing for his medical. However, Bahoya has now turned down the opportunity to move to England.
That does not necessarily mean Bahoya will remain in Frankfurt beyond Deadline Day. The Frenchman continues to have enquiries from other clubs, meaning a late move remains possible before the transfer window closes.
Bahoya joined Eintracht from French club Angers in January 2024 for a reported €8 million. Since then, he has made 78 appearances for the Bundesliga side, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists.
