With zero points from their first four Champions League games this season, it's safe to say that Marco Rose's RB Leipzig team have their backs are against the wall when they face Inter away on Tuesday.

In general, things have not gone well for Leipzig recently, with Die Roten Bullen without a win in their last four games, three of which they have lost.

In their most recent outing, Leipzig led Hoffenheim three times before eventually succumbing to a 4-3 defeat that saw them slip to third in the Bundesliga table.

Inter are also third domestically, but are in much better form, having won four of their last five games.

The Nerazzurri are fifth in the Champions League standings with 10 points from five games and haven't conceded a goal in Europe's premier club competition this season.

With that in mind, Leipzig coach Marco Rose is fully aware that his side have a tough task ahead of them.

"Inter have a good team with a lot of individual quality. They have a coach (Simone Inzaghi) who has worked successfully for years. He has clear ideas and a team that defends brilliantly but also presses hard," said Rose.

“They play a 3-5-2 with a quick centre-forward in Marcus Thuram, who I know from Gladbach. Hakan Calhanoglu is the focal point in all directions.”

Calhanoglu may not be able to feature, as he's a doubt due to a thigh problem. The same goes for Francesco Acerbi.

As for Leipzig, their long list of injuries certainly isn't making things any easier. Bitshiabu (thigh), Elmas (thigh), Klostermann (thigh), Poulsen (thigh), Raum (ankle), Schlager (knee) and Xavi Simons (ankle) are all out.
