Ahead of Germany's rematch with Greece, Jürgen Klopp has confirmed that Aleksandar Pavlović and Jonas Urbig will start tomorrow night.
“I told him [Pavlović] just before the press conference that he can't talk his way out of the team,” a chuckling Klopp informed the media.
“At the moment, it looks like we won't be making a change [at goalkeeper] tomorrow, but who knows [what we will do].
“The other keepers who were involved all play regularly for their clubs. Urbig doesn't [at Bayern], which is why he gets this game.
“That’s how we planned things. But everyone has made a great impression. There won’t be any problems in that area,” Klopp added.
It suggests Urbig will retain his spot between the sticks despite speculation that Augsburg star Finn Dahmen could have made his debut.
When quizzed about the discussion around Joshua Kimmich not being untouchable anymore, Klopp gave an honest response.
"The midfield played a very good game against Serbia [last Thursday]. But why should one player always play in the future?
"You also have to be in good form to play. You don’t play for your club if you’re not in form either. You need different types of players.
“You need leaders, players who cover ground, you need all kinds of players. Fortunately we have more than just three good midfielders,” he concluded.
