Koch also pulls out of Germany squad

Robin Koch will miss Germany's matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Netherlands this month.

Germany will be without Robin Koch when they face Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League this month.

Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed that the defender will has to stay at home due to a hip problem, with Brentford's Kevin Schade called up to replace him.

Koch also missed Eintracht's Europa League opener against Viktoria Plzen due to a hip issue. He then again had problems with his hip in Sunday's 3-3 draw with Bayern Munich.

"He gritted his teeth today and did a brilliant job. But it's not easy for him at the moment. We have to see if it makes sense for him to travel to the national team," said Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller after the game.

"He is a mentality player, but three games in one week was probably too much," he added.

Jamal Musiala and Kai Havertz have already been ruled out of the German squad, with Jamie Leweling and Jonathan Burkardt called up in their place.
