Taking on VfB Stuttgart in their Bundesliga opener this Friday, Bayern Munich's Konrad Laimer is already fired up for the occasion.

“VfB is a good team. You can see they've done a very good job in the past few years," the Austrian said in an in-house interview.

"They've been playing good football and have been successful. We're already looking forward to the game.

“We want to play our football and show how good we are. We won't do any less than last season, on the contrary we'll do more,” he added.

After Vincent Kompany stated Bayern's aim is to push for a Champions League crown, Laimer felt that was a perfectly reasonable goal.

“When you're at FC Bayern, you want to win every single title. The Champions League is part of that, the domestic trophies are part of that.

“That's what we train for every day. Personally, I'll do everything in my power to achieve that,” the 29-year-old explained.
