Following reports that Olympique Lyon had rejected a €22.5 million bid from Borussia Dortmund for Rayan Cherki, the transfer has now collapsed.

In an interview with Sky, Olympique Lyon owner John Textor reiterates that Cherki is not going anywhere and criticizes Dortmund for their handling of the negotiations.

"Dortmund's offer was communicated disrespectfully, was well below market value and came at the wrong time. He will remain an important part of our squad until the end of the 2024/25 season," Textor is quoted as saying.

"We have rejected Borussia Dortmund's offer and have no intention of negotiating with them or any other club."

According to Sky, Dortmund bosses are surprised by Textor's public criticism. Apparently they made the €22.5 million offer the day before yesterday.
