If all goes according to plan, Jamal Musiala will sign the biggest contract in Bayern Munich's history, according to Sport Bild.

Just like Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski before him, Musiala is expected to earn more than €20 million a year, but the difference is that he will be signing a five-year contract, taking the total value of the deal to more than €100 million.

Musiala and his representatives have signalled to the club that they're willing to extend the contract beyond 2026, but there's still one key issue to be resolved, namely his salary, with Sport Bild reporting that "a first financial offer has yet to be made".

"We are talking very intensively, well, a lot," Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl said of the club's talks with Musiala on Saturday.

"I'd like to put it (a new contract for Musiala) under everyone's Christmas tree, but I can't promise that today," he added.

Musiala joined Bayern from Chelsea in 2019. He has since made 181 first-team appearances, scoring 53 goals and providing 35 assists.
