Germany's first-choice goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, is still working his way back to full fitness after suffering a calf injury in May.

The German Football Association announced after Germany's training session on Wednesday that the 40-year-old is "still gradually increasing his workload" ahead of the World Cup.

According to Sky, Neuer completed an individual goalkeeper training program.

With the veteran shot-stopper still not fully integrated into team training, he's a doubt for Germany's final World Cup warm-up match against the United States on Saturday.

Oliver Baumann deputised for Neuer in Sunday's 4-0 friendly win over Finland.

Germany play their first game at the World Cup against Curacao on June 14.
