Swedish left-back Daniel Svensson was officially unveiled as a Borussia Dortmund player on Monday, joining the German outfit from FC Nordsjælland on a loan deal with an option to buy.

In an interview published on the club's website, the 22-year-old revealed that the move came about very quickly.

“It's been a very hectic few days. I heard about the interest a few days ago and of course I wanted to go through with it. So it has been a hectic few days, but I'm very happy that I'm here now and that everything is sorted,” he said.

Explaining why he wanted to make the move, Svensson said:

“Of course, it's a very, very big club with big ambitions, a club with a long history that has won many titles over the years. It was a very good feeling. It's something I really wanted to do.

"I spoke to the people in charge and had the feeling that they had a good plan for me. And yes, as I said, it's a big club and I want to be part of it and hopefully achieve great things."
