Arabi backs coach Kramer long-term: "The coaching question is not up for discussion."

DSC sporting director Samir Arabi made clear at a Thursday presser that the club was absolutely not considering a change of course insofar as the coaching regime is concerned.
Pressed about whether the chants of "Kramer out" at Bielefeld's last home fixture had influenced him in any way, DSC sporting director Samir Arabi sought to make his views as clear as possible.

"With no fiber of our being are we thinking about making a change at the coaching position," the 42-year-old said, "The coaching question is not up for discussion. This matter remains completely independent from the result against Stuttgart and also subsequent matches."

"We are acting with full conviction," Arabi continued, "We have a clear idea behind [our football] and we're not backing away from it. We're pleased with the work of the entire coaching team."

Journalist naturally had more questions for the team's executive. How, after all, could the club management be satisfied with no wins through the first ten rounds of the season?

"Of course, we're unhappy with the points haul," Arabi conceded, "There are things that can be optimized and we are working on that."

"I would like to thank the management for this extraordinary vote of confidence," head-coach Frank Kramer said when it came his turn to speak.

Arminia's best chance to earn three points arguably comes this Saturday against a Stuttgart side very much in disarray after multiple injuries.  A 2-0 win against the Swabians on the final matchday of last season officially enabled Bielefeld to stay in the top tier for a second consecutive season.

Asked if the team might take advantage of the opponent to evoke some positive memories, Kramer remained stoic.

"Anything that makes you feel good, we'll take," Kramer said, "but this is a completely different game and situation."
