Bavaria's State Prime Minister, Markus Söder, has revealed that Bayern München will soon have to play their home games without fans again.

Söder is set to meet with German chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU), her expected successor Olaf Scholz (SPD) and Germany's other state leaders today to discuss the current situation regarding COVID-19.

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Söder told Bayerischer Rundfunk:

"It makes no sense to allow spectators in stadiums in the foreseeable future.

"If that's not possible at a federal level, we would do it for Bavaria alone."
