Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl has confirmed that the club would like to extend Leroy Sané's contract beyond the end of the season.

But while discussions are ongoing and described as “good” and “productive,” Eberl made it clear that no final agreement has been reached yet.

“We are in talks, good talks, productive talks, but the signature is still missing," Eberl told Sky Germany.

"We would like to do it, and Leroy does as well. Now we just need to get everything sorted. But we’re not quite there yet.”

Sané scored for the second Bundesliga game in a row as Bayern drew 3-3 with RB Leipzig on Saturday.
