Official: Antalyaspor seal Mehmedi capture

Turkish first division side Antalyaspor officially welcomed VfL Wolfsburg attacker Admir Mehmedi to their club via social media on Friday evening.

The 30-year-old departs Germany after a long Bundesliga career that spanned ten seasons.
A reported upon transfer from earlier in the week is now apparently over the line. After ten seasons playing for SC Freiburg, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, and VfL Wolfsburg, Swiss attacker Admir Mehmedi has gotten his hoped for transfer. The 30-year-old scored 46 goals across all competitions for German football clubs in his decade-long stay in the Bundesrepublik.

Mehmed will be joining fellow Bundesliga alumni Nuri Sahin, who has been serving as the head-coach of the Turkish side since October. Antalyaspor are in the midst of a tough relegation fight, currently in 15th place in the Turkish Süper Lig.

No information is available on a transfer fee just get. Transfermarkt reports that Mehmedi will receive a contract through the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
