Olympique Lyon have reportedly targeted FC Köln midfielder Ellyes Skhiri as a replacement for Bruno Guimaraes.

With Guimaraes on the verge of a move to Newcastle, the French Ligue 1 side are looking to sign Skhiri before the transfer window closes, Fussballtransfers reports.

The 26-year-old, who is currently representing Tunisia at the Africa Cup of Nations, is said to be open to a transfer himself.

His contract with 'The Billy Goats' expires in 2023.

Should Lyon fail to land Skhiri, they could turn their attention to Stuttgart's Orel Mangala, PSG's Ander Herrera or Montpellier's Teji Savanier.
