Sadio Mané was officially presented as a Bayern München player today, sitting next to club bosses Hasan Salihamidzic, Oliver Kahn and Herbert Hainer at a press conference.

Among other things, the flexible Senegalese attacker was asked about which position he expects to play on the pitch for his new club.

"I think the person, who can best answer this question is sitting right there," Mané responded and pointed to Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann, who attended the press conference as a spectator.

"I'm a player, who's lucky enough to be able to play three or four different positions. I'm just happy when the coach doesn't tell me to play as a goalkeeper or in defense," he added.

Asked about the impact Nagelsmann had on his decision to join Bayern from Liverpool, Mané said:

"We met and spoke. It was very important to get to know him and the project. Hasan [Salihamidzic] was there too.

"When they explained to me what their ideas were, I was fascinated and could see myself as part of the project right away. I didn't have to think twice, I accepted almost immediately."

Mané also revealed that he's yet to make a decision on which number he will wear on his back.

"We haven't talked about it yet. Of course, there are many numbers. I will decide when the time is right."

The 30-year-old wore the number 10 jersey for Liverpool, but that number is occupied by Leroy Sané at Bayern.
