RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff says he wants clarity on Konrad Laimer's future as soon as possible.

With one year left on his Leipzig deal, Laimer has been linked with a move to Bayern, and at this point it's still not clear if he will stay or leave.

"We are in good talks with the player. We saw today how important he is to our game," Mintzlaff told Sky after Leipzig 3-5 Supercup defeat against Bayern last night.

"It's also known that we are talking to Bayern. Both the player and us can imagine going into the final year of the contract without extending it.

"The situation is relaxed for us. But we want a decision on how to proceed in the near future."
