With Manuel Neuer ruled out for the season with a leg injury, Bayern Munich remain in search of a goalkeeper, who can step in to replace the veteran.

According to Bild, the German champions have now made an inquiry about Kevin Trapp, but are yet to contact the 32-year-old's club, Eintracht Frankfurt.

While it is said that Trapp could well imagine a move to Munich, Eintracht are reluctant to letting their first-choice goalkeeper go in the middle of the season. Trapp's contract expires in 2024.

Bayern have already been looking into the possibility of bringing Alexander Nübel back from his loan spell at Monaco, but 26-year-old has little interest in returning early.

Gladbach's Yann Sommer and Sevilla's Bono are also said to be candidates.
