Flick "very surprised" by Nagelsmann dismissal

Germany coach Hansi Flick made a brief statement at a press conference today regarding Julian Nagelsmann's imminent dismissal as Bayern Munich coach.

    Hansi Flick has revealed that the news of Julian Nagelsmann's imminent dismissal as Bayern Munich coach came as a shock to the Germany squad.

    "We were very, very surprised by the headlines last night," the Germany coach told reporters at a press conference today, but refused to elaborate.

    "But I don't think Bayern Munich have made any comment on the matter yet, so out of respect for Julian and Bayern, I'm not going to say anything about it at the press conference," Flick added.

    Flick himself was Bayern's head coach between 2019 and 2021, at which point he took the Germany job instead.
