Reports: Toppmöller reaches agreement to work SGE bench

Concurring media reports now assert that Eintracht Frankfurt and former FC Bayern München assistant coach Dino Toppmöller have now reached an agreement in principle for 42-year-old to succeed Oliver Glasner as the new SGE trainer.
Considered a top candidate to succeed the departing Oliver Glasner as Eintracht Frankfurt's new head-coach, it now appears as if Dino Toppmöller and Eintracht Frankfurt have worked out a new cooperative path together ahead of the coming season. Germany's Kicker Magazine reports that the former long-time assistant of former Leipzig and Bayern trainer Julian Nagelsmann have reached an agreement that will lead to Toppmöller's installation. Only a few minor details remain to be clarified and the 42-year-old should sign a contract shortly after Saturday's Pokal Final.

German broadcast "Sport1" and tabloid "Sport Bild" both confirm the report. The former source notes that Toppmöller will be bringing colleague Xaver Zembrod along with him as a new assistant while the latter claims that FC Bayern München will receive a modest €500,000 transfer free for the still under-contract Nagelsmann assistant. Frankfurt were among the clubs that Toppmöller's father, Klaus, coached during his long trainer career. This will be the younger Toppmöller's first head-coaching assignment.
