Report: Jens Lehmann set for Bundesliga coaching role
Former Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann is reportedly set to be named the new assistant coach of FC Augsburg.
FC Augsburg are set to hire the former Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann in an assistant coach role, Bild understands.
According to the German tabloid, Lehmann has agreed to a contract that runs until the summer of 2020.
Most recently, Lehmann spent a year as an assistant coach at Arsenal under Arsene Wenger, but he lost his job after the 2017/18 season when Unai Emery took over as manager of the London club.
Lehmann, 49, played for Schalke 04, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and VfB Stuttgart during his career as a footballer. He also made 61 appearances for Germany.
