RB Leipzig confirmed the permanent departure of Alexander Sørloth on Tuesday evening.

The Norwegian striker joins Villarreal in the Spanish La Liga.

Sørloth was signed from Trabzonspor three years ago, but has spent the last two seasons on loan at Real Sociedad.

Germany's Kicker Magazine reports that the German Red Bulls have secured a transfer fee of some €10 million for the striker.

He featured 38 times for Leipzig, scoring six goals.
