Former Leipzig and Chelsea boss linked with Bayern

Kicker suggests that new Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund could bring his former RB Salzburg colleague Christopher Vivell to the club, with Marco Neppe possibly heading for the exit door.
Following the arrival of Christoph Freund as Bayern Munich's sporting director, technical director Marco Neppe's time at the German champions could soon be coming to an end.

Neppe, who used to be the right-hand man of now ex-sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, has had a major influence on Bayern's transfers in recent years.

However, according to Kicker, it's far from certain that Neppe will continue in this role after Freund's arrival.

The German football magazine suggests that Neppe could be replaced by Christopher Vivell, who worked as chief scout and sporting coordinator under Freund at RB Salzburg.

He later became RB Leipzig's technical director and squad planner and most recently served as Chelsea's technical director between December 2022 and July 2023 before resigning due to the chaotic situation at the club.
