Union Berlin vs. Napoli preview: Team news and predicted lineups

Here is our preview of Tuesday's Champions League group stage clash between Union Berlin and Napoli, including predicted lineups.
Things have been going in the right direction for Union Berlin in recent seasons, but it's hard to argue that they're in crisis right now, having lost their last eight consecutive games in all competitions.

Their poor run of form has led to questions being asked about Urs Fischer as head coach, despite the sensational successes he has achieved with the club in the past, including qualifying for the Champions League.

For now,, Fischer appears to have the the full backing of the club.

"Urs Fischer has done so much for this club, we're absolutely ready to go this way together, and he knows that," Union managing director for sport Oliver Ruhnert told Sky Germany, but added that he is well aware that football is a results-driven sport.

A win - or at least a point - against Napoli on Tuesday would certainly be welcomed with open arms by the German capital club, who have lost their first two games in Europe's top club competition to Real Madrid and Braga, respectively.

Fischer is likely to make changes to the team that lost 3-0 to Stuttgart, with Aissa Laidouni and Sheraldo Becker both pushing for a place in the starting line-up.

Josip Juranovic remains on the sidelines, meaning Christopher Trimmel will continue at right wing-back.

After two consecutive defeats, Napoli returned to winning ways with a 3-1 win over Verona on Saturday.

The Italian champions are still without top striker Victor Osimhen, while Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Juan Jesus are also out with injuries.
