Stuttgart loan young talent Kastanaras out to Ulm
VfB Stuttgart confirmed a six-month loan-out to SSV Ulm for 20-year-old striker Thomas Kastanaras on Tuesday.
Thus far this year, the Stuttgart-native has only featured for the VfB reserves. The young talent has scored six goals for VfB II in the Regionalliga. He made trainer Sebastian Hoeneß' match-day squad twice this year, yet hasn't logged any minutes. Kastanaras once scored 26 goals in 20 games for the U-19 squad in the 2021/22 season.
"Match practice is very important for Thomas' further development," VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth commented in a club statement, "As an ambitious third division club, SSV Ulm is a very good location for this. We will be closely monitoring him."
