Multiple sources claim Stuttgart entertain, yet ultimately reject Fulham bid for Silas

German transfer guru Florian Plettenberg is among many German footballing media professionals currently reporting that VfB Stuttgart have rejected an offer from Fulham F.C. to procure Congolese winger Silas Katompa Mvumpa.
London's Fulham F.C. have apparently seen two efforts to acquire Bundesliga players - both of whom happen to be currently representing their countries at the Africa Cup of Nations - rejected on transfer deadline day. An attempt to scoop up Borussia Dortmund striker Sebastien Haller earlier today apparently got nixed by the player himself.

Now various German footballing journalists, including Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg, claim that VfB Stuttgart have rejected an offer for Congolese attacker "Silas" Katompa Mvumpa. All reports hold that Stuttgart did take some time to consider Fulham's overture; a loan deal with a €15 million purchase option.

After discussing matters with the player and his agent, however, Fabian Wohlgemuth and the VfB administrative team decided that the notion was not in their best interests. Silas shall remain in Swabia through the end of the season. The 25-year-old currently contests the AFCON quarterfinals in Cote d'Ivoire with Congo DR.
