Kleindienst on emerging partnership with Honorat: "Franky knows me by now."

Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Tim Kleindienst - after recording a hat trick of assists in Sunday's 4-1 win over Bremen - was happy that so many of his teammates got a chance to score in the victory.

When it came to the instance in which he himself nearly netted a tally, Kleindienst reserved some special praise for one particular colleague. Franck Honorat's return to the team has proven a big boost for the foals.
BMG winger Franck Honorat celebrates scoring the 3-0 against SV Werder Bremen at Borussia Park on Sunday evening. Honorat's return to the starting XI has proven a big boost to striker Tim Kleindienst and the rest of the Fohlenelf.

Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Tim Kleindienst had the pleasure of recording three assists in last night's 4-1 win over SV Werder Bremen. The newly-capped German international looks to be a shoe-in for Bundestrainer Julian Nagelsmann's side over the coming November international break. Yesterday evening's performance leaves Kleindienst with a total of six goals and five assists for the Niederrhein club in 11 appearances across all competitions.

“I'm very, very happy," Kleindienst noted in his post-match interview with German broadcaster DAZN last night, "A lot of what we did made sense. It was exactly as we envisioned it. It was important to get the crowd on our side after Wednesday's [Pokal defeat against Frankfurt]."

"It's important to have presence in the box," Kleindienst continued, "and not just from me. It's important that others score goals. I'm extremely pleased that we succeeded in that task today."

Kleindienst recorded assists on goals from Alassane Plea, Kevin Stöger, and Franck Honorat. When it came to Kleindienst's own "near-goal", it was Honorat aiming for Kleindeinst on a well-timed run that led to Werder skipper Marco Friedl turning the ball into his own net. The BMG striker reserved special praise for Honorat. The Frenchman's return from an early season injury has provided the foals with a big boost.

"I'll put it this way: Franky knows me by now," Kleindienst said, "It's a shame it wasn't me, but an own goal. In any event we scored twice [in quick succession]."
