Report: Bayern and Dortmund stars in danger of being left out of Germany's Euros squad

Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry and Nico Schlotterbeck are reportedly among the experienced players, who should be concerned about their prospects of making the Euro squad.
A long list of experienced German internationals are in danger of being left out of Julian Nagelsmann's squad for the European Championship, according to Sport Bild.

The German publication lists Bayern duo Leon Goretzka and Serge Gnabry as well as Borussia Dortmund quartet Emre Can, Nico Schlotterbeck, Niklas Süle and Mats Hummels as players who could be left out.

With the return of Toni Kroos, the competition in central midfield has increased further and could lead to Goretzka being dropped.

His teammate at Bayern, Serge Gnabry, has barely played during an injury-plagued campaign.

As for Can, Schlotterbeck, Süle and Hummels, they have all struggled to perform consistently at their top level.

Nagelsmann recently hinted at making some significant changes to his squad for the Euros.

"We don't have to call up ten new players, but there will certainly be one or two who are not nominated and who many think will definitely be in the squad," he told Der Spiegel.

On March 14, the former Bayern Munich coach will announce his squad for the upcoming friendlies against France and the Netherlands.
